Orc stories

Note: For anyone who would like to see some of my exploits in Shadow of War my XBL gamertag is An Angry Wall and i have quite a few game clips under my profile.

So i hit Act 2 and got to start doing some cool stuff. I sent an Olog champion to the pit fights, and then his opponent was a new unknown Orc with these really cool firebrands. At first i was worried my Olog would kill him but that didn't happen. Then i ended up dying trying to dominate him. So i found him again, it was going pretty well i almost had him dominated and then i went down. And wouldn't you know it on my first last chance my one and only remaining follower stepped in to save me and kill the only dude i've seen with flame weapons. He was so badass too, in that pit fight he was lighting everyone on fire, he had fuckin BOOMERANG axes... i was so sad to see him die.

Reminiscing of previous orcs though, i remember from the early game Snafû Brawlmaster, who only became a captain through a happenstance killing of me. Then after i killed him, he came back as Snafû the Survivor TWICE, the second time from being cleaved in half which was kinda bullshit but whatever guess he was just that hardcore, woulda been cooler if he came back with just his upper half on a little roll cart trying to fight me as Snafû the Crippled lol. Back in the early game i had 3 pieces of Epic gear he'd dropped. I love how the gear gets cool names when you finish their challenges :)

Also just last night i let an Olog kill me to turn him into a captain and after i died he broke the sword i was using, which i didn't even know was possible. When i came back to life the game mentioned that i would have to kill him to get the sword back and that it'd be stronger than before. Anyway after i dominated and used him to infiltrate a Warchief and on Nurnen's siege i finally did kill him to get my sword back, not sure if it actually did become stronger or not. I was sad to lose him he was a good captain, but i got the sword back and sadly thats all he dropped.

Just recently i fought an orc called Koth the Bard after having to assassinate 5 nearby orcs in under a minute he showed up. He sang "Life in Mordor can get rather drab, it's brown and gray but red when you stab. Then we proceeded to fight, he was actually a much better fighter than i expected and unbeknownst to me was enraged by frost and had No Chance, but before our fight began he sang again "You may have heard of one like me, he prances and dances and sings with glee, wherever there's strife the singer is there, he slaughters and slays with such merry flair. I sing this song with all my breath -- take heed -- for this interlude ends with your death." early in the fight i throw my exploding dagger at Koth and then poison him setting him on Balefire then i learn he's immune to executions. he vaults over me in an impressive show of acrobatics, then i freeze blast him at which point he becomes enraged and no longer freezable. He hits me a couple times with his Lute which is half battle axe, then i find out the hard way that he has No Chance so i die instantly. He desecrates my corpse with a bunch of crossbow bolts while he holds my head in his fist but finally i fall to the ground and he finishes me with a headshot. Then he sings "His name was Gravewalker, not so much a talker, especially now that he's taken his bow."

And now i go to seek my revenge on Koth and i want him in my army more than ever. This time things were looking really good, i almost had Koth until another captain showed up. The my favorite Bard used his No Chance to instakill me again even tho i had almost dominated him. Just as he became broken he sang "He's back, he's back, for what could it be? The Ranger must want to dance with me!" and thats when Skoth the fucking Believer showed up ambushing me. So then Both killed me again, and sang "Rest in Peace, Man of Gondor, tis a pity you were such a bore."

Now this is really personal. And Koth was apparently promoted to Warchief, so now i'm gonna get a couple infiltrators to help betray his ass and hopefully this time i finally dominate him. So three infiltrators in place two fire users and a dude with a chain spear, fight lasted all of 20 seconds and i didn't even have to touch him. Koth's loyalty now belongs to me!

Well, i've been trying to turn some Captains into Legendary orcs but one of my annoying followers keeps showing up and killing the orcs and ologs i want to kill me. Ishmoz White-Eye, its funny that a blind archer keeps finding and saving me. If he wasn't such a valuable ally i'd gank his ass in a hot second.
